Marisa K. Commerford

Marisa K. Commerford is an experienced civil litigator specializing in employee rights. She began her legal career litigating in the commercial/business arena, handling both plaintiff and defense cases. Marisa currently represents individual plaintiff employees in wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage claims. She has taken multiple cases to verdict in trial.

Since 2012, Marisa has been lecturing as an adjunct professor for several international business law courses at Santa Barbara City College, including international human resource management.

Marisa grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from University of California at Santa Barbara, and attended Whittier School of Law on a Dean’s Merit Academic Scholarship. She received her Juris Doctorate cum laude in 2010.

Marisa is an avid long distance runner, and loves spending her free time traveling and exploring the great outdoors.
